DIY Chevron Project on an Old Bookcase

Chevron patterns are everywhere & my daughter's bookshelf badly needed a makeover. Perfect! This project was relatively easy to recreate with very little materials needed. I got this bookshelf for free from a neighbor, and with a fresh coat of paint it now has a new funky fresh life to it. *Note: make sure to press firmly on your painters tape prior to spray painting, and also be sure to remove existing paint/stain if needed.

Happy End of March & A New Blog

What happens when you have kids, long naps, and a digging NEED to create something? DIY's, Purple people eater hats, octopus hats, kids crafts, timeless vintage, flowers flowers and more flowers, scarves, fashion  and much more eye candy that inspires me and hopefully you too.

Hi! Welcome to JSummersDesign! My name is Jessica. I am a stay at home Mom of two wonderful little girls, and the owner & creative force behind JSummersDesign, where I make Custom Crochet.

A few years ago I started obsessively searching DIY blogs and watching utube videos, which lead me to find crochet! I have been hooked ever since.  I began knitting scarves a few Christmas's ago and then moved on to crocheting hats. After making numerous hats for my girls (who practically wear a different one every day now!), and then over 40 this past Christmas for family members, I decided to open up my own custom crochet store. I love how organic and free flowing handmade crochet can be. All of my designs are custom from my own patterns. I take inspiration from images and books, but give it my own spin.
